TV veteran Osher Gunsberg has revealed his top health and fitness tips. 

The 47-year-old spoke to The Sunday Telegraph about the various ways he takes care of his physical and mental health.   

‘One of the most effective ways I look after my mental health is to take care of the things I can control,’ he told the publication.

‘Like what I eat, how much I sleep, how much I exercise, how I connect with others and what my thoughts are,’ he continued.  

‘It’s important because you don’t accidentally stay physically fit – you have to work at it. It’s the same with mental health – you have to work at it.’

Osher also shared a number of top tips in order to stay and physically and mentally sharp as possible.

The five foods he couldn’t live without are, ‘chickpeas, peanut butter, bananas, avocados and sweet potato fries’.

He added he likes to stop drinking early, because ‘nothing is a good idea’ after a six-pack of beers or an entire bottle of wine. 

Osher also explained that he always starts his day with coffee and exercise.
