Professor Emerita Joins PA eHealth Advisory Board

Margarete L. Zalon, Ph.D., professor emerita in the Office of Nursing at The College of Scranton, was appointed as a shopper consultant to the Pennsylvania e-Overall health Partnership Advisory Board. In 2022, Dr. Zalon been given the John L. Earl III Award for services to the College, the faculty and the broader local community. She was also a receiver of the Duke University University of Nursing Distinguished Alumna Award, the PSNA Distinguished Nurse Award and a Leahy Fellowship at Scranton. She also obtained the University’s Excellence in Advancing Interdisciplinary Research Award in 2020.

Dr. Zalon earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her master’s and Ph.D. degrees from New York College.
