SAGINAW, MI — The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center is seeking nurse practitioners, registered nurses and other health care professionals to “serve our nation’s heroes.”
The VA medical center, which operates a medical center in Saginaw and nine outpatient clinics located in Alpena, Bad Axe, Cadillac, Cheboygan, Clare, Gaylord, Grayling, Oscoda and Traverse City, is hiring nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants.
The facility offers competitive benefits including vacation and sick leave, federal holidays, thrift savings plan, pension and scholarship opportunities, according to a VA medical center news release.
“We are being proactive with organizational needs to meet the needs of our veterans,” Nurse Recruiter Stacey Payne told MLive/The Saginaw News. “The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center is anticipating a new electronic health record that will place an increased demand on our staff during implementation. By thoughtfully recruiting now, we can have staff in place to make this transition as easy as possible, with our typical turnover that we expect with retirements and staff professional growth.”
Payne said the VA medical center offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Salaries vary by position and location, she said.
