The University of New Mexico School of Medicine has a new leader – a very first-generation college or university university student and the school’s first female dean.
Dr. Patricia Finn, an associate dean for Strategic Initiatives and associate plan director for the Medical Scientist Education Software at the College of Illinois School of Drugs in Chicago, will start out in her new purpose Sept. 1.

Finn in 2007 was inducted into the Affiliation of American Medical professionals.
